HOW IT ALL STARTED

Nuremberg Free Walking Tour and Bamberg Free Walking Tour started in 2016 as a student’s side project with a printed t-shirt, a Facebook page, some flyers and a lot of trust in the process. Even now, that we’re a team of ten tour guides from four different countries, we appreciate, that all of us got a life besides tour guiding. We really live in Nuremberg and Bamberg and know these cities inside-out. We want to give you a little insight to how life here is here and how history shaped it. All the time through it was important to us, to stay independent from big umbrella-companies and provision-payers. As individual as our guides' lives and stories are also the tours. Es war die Liebe, die mich nach Bamberg zog - die Liebe zum Bier, zu meiner Fränkin und zu Bamberg - für mich die schönste Stadt Deutschlands. Als Lehrer, Journalist der „Fränkische Nacht“ und als hiesiger Krimi-Autor kenne ich ich natürlich die Sonnen-, Schatten- und Lustseiten der Domstadt bestens. Oder wie der Bamberger in seinem für ihn typischen Gefühlsausbruch sagt: „Des baaschd scho!“
